A healthy growth with no signs - or intention - of slowing down requires a restructure of the QCC Production Department. We are looking for a knowledgeable, hands-on QCC Production Manager to future-proof the Custom Cable Centre and lead it to new heights.
As a QCC Product Manager, you will supervise the custom Build Centre production process. It is a very hands-on role and encompasses quoting customers’ jobs, customer service, production, purchasing, maintenance, human resources and WHS. The ability to multi-task, have strong organisational and IT numeracy skills and prioritise tasks is essential in this position. This role is ideal for someone who is very customer centric and has worked in a small to medium business.

Work with customers to accurately define requirements | product design/modification | costings | timescale | determine quality standards | provide customer service
- Production Management
Create accurate work orders for the production staff including all relevant details and instructions | Plan & organise production work schedule to meet customer deadlines and specifications | Assess project and resource requirements (labour and raw materials) and coordinate purchase and delivery | Supervise production process and renegotiate timescales and schedules as necessary | Ensure that the production is cost effective | Monitor product standards and implement quality control programmes | Responsibility for the selection and maintenance of equipment
- Staff Management
Plan and implement effective communication based on special requirements of staff to ensure work orders and processes are clearly understood | Ensure health and safety regulations are met | Supervise and motivate a team of workers | Review worker performance | Identify training needs
Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal departments | Attend management meetings, report on build centre status, and follow up on actions | Work with management to implement the company's policies and goals | Assist QA Manager in documenting processes for WHS and QA compliance | Provide support to other areas of QCC if needed – non-custom sales, front counter, in-bound calls, despatch
As QCC Production Manager you report directly to the Managing Director.
Because of the technical nature of QCC, an engineering qualification or background would be highly regarded. This could be an electrical or similar trade-based qualification, as well as a management certificate or experience. Ideally, you will have 5 to 10 years’ experience in a similar role in a medium or small company.
